More or less it's apple's answer to netbooks I think. The idea is to 'bridge the gap' between smartphones and computers.

They will be trying to get people to buy/download ebooks, magazines, and videos...and of course if it ends up on AT&T's horrible 3G network I'm sure it will bring that already slow network down to a nice crawl.

...seems like a good idea that they didn't go far enough with. No multi-tasking is DUMB DUMB DUMB and duh the thing should come with 2 built in cameras (one in back for high-quality pics/vids and one front-facing for videochats).

I'm sure they will sell a bunch of these things anyway.
