yes. some have different hard drives and storage space than others and come pre-loaded with office or other tools. Now there are portable cds/dvds drives for them too (Just visit bestbuy and try them out). Of course when it comes to having enough memory and diskspace for those things the cost gets too close (or even higher) than a laptop and still no built in dvd/cdrom... >
