As one who had his lying-weasel detector red-line the first time John Edwards came on the national radar, I have to say even I am surprised by the truly squalid nature of this guy's behavior.
Say what you like about the vetting process for Sarah Palin - John Kerry wanted this guy to be vice president and a whole lot of folks were taking him seriously for President in 2008.
It was indeed a year for form over substance, but I thank both President Obama and Secretary Clinton for preventing this weasel from getting further than he did. ( though it is pretty clear if he had somehow obtained the nomination he would have actually had to withdraw before the election )
