If you're ever in DC, you MUST go down to the tidal basin just down the street from the HUD building and visit a restaurant called Phillips Flagship. It's all you can eat seafood, and their king crab legs are some of the best -- if you can get past the crawfish etouffe, the oysters, the boiled shrimp with Old Bay (my personal favorite), the seafood pasta cooked to order -- and then the dessert bar (burp).
If you go away from that place hungry, it's your own fault... Evan, thanks much for the tip. In April I'm going to DC for the day, so I will see if I can check it out.
I love cajun seafood pasta....since you're at least closer to Florida than I am....years ago I used to make frequent trips to Tampa, and ate at a seafood restaurant called Shells - they had this special combo that was half jambalaya and half cajun seafood pasta. The meal was so good it almost made me cry.
