So, I've finally been asked the question about the end of Microsoft's support for VFP.

Is there a specific date for this?

And, hasn't there been a date like this in the past, only to be postponed?

James, I'm being sincere - I think you should step back and read this question and think about it.

The notion of a cymbal crash is about as non-existent as the idea that other tools have had a specific "end of the world as we know it".

Do people go to MS for Fox support right now? Probably very few...the support comes from the community. Even though I've rarely used Fox in the last few years, there's no question that there is a very loyal and passionate Fox community that is more than eager to provide some type of support on the product,...with motivations ranging from wanting to keep the product "going", to just wanting to be good online citizens.

About the only political statement I'll make is that I hope, for the sake of those who are still using Fox for years to come, that MS continues the MS VFP MVP program for those loyal Fox stalwarts who continue to support the product on different forums, via the pen and the presentation, etc.

So I wouldn't be too focused on a date...
