Who knows what's the best combination of Windows Rich Text files for Windows XP (newest service pack)? And what I should distribute?
It is my impression that the newest Richtx32.ocx (a wrapper) should call Msftedit.dll (the real editor). That dll implements the newest version 4. My own XP is always updated by MS, but still any reference inside the ocx is to the Riched32.dll, not to the newer Msftedit.dll. The consequence is that I do not have the possibilities of version 4.
The rtf control in my apps points to Richtext.RichtextCtrl.1. I try to make use of some of the new possibilities of version 4. For example, while version 3 does not wrap text inside a grid's cell, version 4 does, according to the specs here:
