after recompiling a hundred times <s> this error vanished. I think after I took sdt off the project, but now another ugly error rearing it's head:

the build end with an exe created but with error coe 0x8002802d: Name already exists in the library

the project has a startup file (kba.prg) but whenn i double click on the exe icon vfp prompts me for a prg in windoes finder dialog.
once I typein kba and press cr it oes on its merry way nad seems to work fine

I don't know if those two problems are connected.

I also now know why I stayed away from exe's all those dekades :=)

by the way when built and run as an app it works as intended

Thanks

Peter
