Does anybody know if there is a way to get a specific device driver to load w/o the UAC dialog popping up? If I'm logged in as an administrative login then it's OK, but it becomes very annoying when a non-admin user is logged in (UAC dialog pops up several times). Yes, I'm aware that you can bypass this problem by avoiding using a USB adaptor and use an interface card instead, however with notebook computer it's unavoidable. It does appear that if you plug in the device while logged in as an admin user, then subsequent logins don't get the dialog popping up since the driver is already loaded -- until you unplug the adaptor -- then you have to log in as an admin when plugging it back in -- otherwise the UAC dialogs pop up, Assigning administrative priveleges to everyone is also another "workaround" -- but that of course defeats the purpose of having different security levels for users. I don't want to disable the UAC dialog altogether -- just for the specific device (in my particular case, the USB-to-RS232 adaptor).
