>Better a rug than a combover ;-) I truly do not get those. Do the guys who do it truly have no concept how little they are fooling anyone? Michael Jordan may have had the right idea -- when the natural carpet slips past the point of no return, start shaving your head.

This makes no sense to me, but to each his own ;-) Are follicles something we have any control over?
To me there is a lot to be said for aging gracefully. Meryl Streep certainly has done it. Clint Eastwood, a man who once prospered on his hunk status far more than Meryl did. (But watch her in "The Deer Hunter" -- your kind of movie, now that it comes up -- and tell me that isn't a knee-knockingly good looking woman). George Clooney is doing it. At some point they seem to have realized looks don't define them, that they have other traits that are as good or better.
UPDATE: Paul Newman, the ultimate example. (In marked contrast to Sundance, who pathetically tries to look decades younger than he is).
