We have created a CD install using VFP's setup wizard. It installs fine on many PC's in our office. When our client tries to install the application on an NT workstation they get the following error:

ACMSETUP.EXE
Exception: Access Violation (0xc0000005), address 0x77A91E09

I found an artical in MS's KB (Q156269). This describes the same error but they say the cause is quotes in the Setup Dialog Box Caption. We do not have any quotes there.

Another error we get sometimes on some PC's in our office is Error ### Object 243 may be damaged.

We seem to have a lot of problems with installs (both from disk and CD). An install will work fine on one PC but not on another. Does anyone else have problems with installs created using MS's Setup wizard?

Would we be better off (have less problems) using a third party install product (ex. Install Shield)? If so can you recommand a good product.
