That may "theoretically" be correct - but those who delayed getting proficient (or "productive" as you often say) probably hurt themselves in some way...usually not Irreperably, but still...Sheesh, if L2S hadn't been Foxed it was *very* accessible- especially for people who (for example) wanted to streamline management of more than one dataset from a SP. That's *still* complicated in EF4. It's complicated in VFP too, but you don't have to go through cycles of change to achieve that. Seems to me that these sorts of value judgments are why some people have stuck with VFP, not because their heads are stuffed somewhere dark.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
