I specifically underscored that the question was practical :). I don't argue about componentization, just because it's senseless for me (or someone else) to argue against MS. However, the real world implies that componentization is often moot point in highly dynamic (I mean both technical and human turnovers) environment. The natural reflection of most people is to have control over whole application and fairly speaking most of people branding themselves as embraced component world are just use VB for everything.
