Back when my sister was granola-girl and had her first son she spoke eloquently about how the kid would never have toy guns but would be exposed to educational toys like legos. They got him a beautiful lego set - and the first thing he built was beautiful gun ...

( second and third sons were just not allowed to have live ammunition until they finished their homework )
