Yes, VFP 5 was the game changer that moved my conservative butt off Fox 2.6.
I never considered VFP 3 to be a serious tool for demanding applications.
However, equally important in my decision to move were the advents of Windows 95 and Windows NT.
In addition to its other issues, a problem with VFP3 was that it only ran on Windows and Windows, prior to Win 95, was an unstable client environment to say the least.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
