That was the version 2006, it was not stable at all. Before that version the IDE was rewritten to look more like Visual Studio, and also Delphi was able to compile Object Pascal code into .NET CIL.

On the other hand Delphi 7 (older version than 2006) was stable, actually one of the most stable IDE ever developed by Borland.
