I really liked Turbo Pascal. I started with that in my first data structures course in college and it was far and away superior to anything I had used until then.

REAL fast, stable, well documented. Nothing like it until I met FoxPro/Dos 0.96. (FoxBase+ and 386 were real fast but it really didn't have any other outstanding features).

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

My first couple of years as a developer were based on Turbo Pascal.
