If that's true, then the best solution for MS is to can VFP as soon as possible and take their hits now and get it over with. I'm saying this because there are many completed and on-going VFP projects (small, medium, large, public and private), not to mention the framework guys and those FPW 2.6 -> VFP newcomers who have made the decision to learn VFP - all of which will make it that much harder (PR wise) for MS to dump it in the future.

Those doing enterprise multi-tiered, Web, and E-Commerce stuff will benefit from all the cool VS toys. But there are many small entities that do not need these technologies (at least not yet - maybe never) where VFP does just fine. Has MS forgot about these guys? Will VB/Access or VB/SQL Server be the best MS has to offer for these cases? I sure as hell hope not.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong - I just hope that you are wrong. I know you feel the same.
