here's an 'Update model from database' option which will allow you to add additional tables - but also refreshes existing tables by, for example, pulling in any additional fields. But this isn't fool proof either - sometimes 'subtle' (can't think of a better word) changes to the database aren't included.

I thought I'd have another look at this.

I deleted the dbml and re added it and the foreign key relationship appeared no problem.
