The touch screen is just hardware. The reader is proprietary, but stores the reads in a sqlexpress database. The form is VFP 9 and is hitting local data. I pull xml (stolens) every 30 minutes and update the local stolens data. Vehicles of interest data is also downloaded every 10 minutes (xml). It is working VERY well. We've had several stolen cars recovered, captured a lot of other criminals and recovered guns, drugs and seized some vehicles and cash - all because we drove by someone, or they drove by us.
