Oh I see- you mean Progressive with a capital P.
I'd recommend that you re-read some of the views of Dewey who was one of the Progressive thinkers, since his views about self-determination and personal achievement rather than allocation of privileges (by a nanny state?) seem little different from yours. ;-)
