We have literally hundreds of MSDE/SQLExpress2005/SQLExpress2008 and full SQL Server2xxx installs around Kanses - mostly at small businesses. Most of our installs are for our own VFP applications (I ALWAYS use SQL Server as the backend no matter what the app) or as part of Microsoft Retail Management System. Many are at businesses that have a total of 1 PC.

We do have basic requirements re:OS, UPS, A/V, and overall system stability before we will attempt an install, but they aren't tough to deal with.

I can't remember any time we've had as much trouble as Kevin has had. It really sucks when you are trying to get a new technology under your belt and out the door and it seems to fall apart - I can feel his pain - been there!

Kevin if I can be of help send me an EMail offline and I'll get on the phone with you or whatever and try to get you on the right track.

And as Kevin G asked elsewhere - why are you using SQL205Express instead of 2008? That is outdated and that is a problem.
