You surprise me. Admittedly CE isn't the same as server based versions but to me it seems pretty robust. Given that just about everyone with a Windows OS is using it (without knowing it) I'd expect to be hearing a lot more grief if it wasn't so.

And if the end-user is already using SQL Express (or any other version of MS SQL) you either have to install another instance (which the end user probably won't want) or add the neccessary database/s on the existing instance. etc. etc.....
