I've been approached by a company to help with a project to automate Autocad.

I can only find a three simple examples on automating Autocad with VFP, (nine seemingly the only version that can do this properly)

Since there are apparently many examples in Visual Basic, and/or Visual Basic.NET, and given that I have to start doing some projects in VB sooner rather than later, is it best to jump in at the deep end & use this as a way of getting into a newer launguage or am a best to stick with my beloved VFP.

Does anyone out there know of any work with Autocad & VFP I could research?

I don't want this to turn into a VFP/VB.NET is best argument, it really boils down to this:

Am I making things much more difficult for myself because the examples are there in VB and would need converting to VFP syntax etc?

Or will the learnng curve of VB be worth it in the long run, since I will be able to use the many examples out there with much fuss?

TIA
Rob
