Jean-Luc --

This topic comes up very frequently in the Fox community. Just to confirm what Ken said, Robert Green stated the same thing at the Orlando DEVCON in May. Microsoft appears to be seriously commited to VFP, despite what the rumor-mongers say.

>>>Is anyone heard from Microsoft any serious commitment for Foxpro in the future. Someone told me recently that it is supposed to be the last official major release (in Visual Studio 6) Is there anyone in a user group somewhere who can confirm or deny or simply has little more details.

>>The person that told you that VFP 6.0 is the last version is complete wrong. I'm a full time at Microsoft as designer and developer, and I can tell you the Fox team is very busy on the next version of VFP. In fact, expect to see cool new technologies from Microsoft for VFP posted on the web even before the next version is released. I can't say anymore now, so don't ask for details. <s>

>Thanks Ken for your response. Too bad your lips are sealed :-) I can forward that message to that bad influence of mine and let him know about this that should keep him very quiet for a while :-)
