Your second paragraph is correct. I did not dispute what Kevin said, just asked if he had a citation. That is generally more persuasive to me than anecdotes, to use your apt word.

Where I am working now we recently moved to SQL 2008 in production and are using VS 2008 for .NET development. We also have production apps, quite a few of them, written in VFP 8 (VFP 9 has never been deployed for some reason), Access 2003, and VB 6 ;-) Also anecdotal, of course.....
