I just re-read your question and I may not have answered it. There are three buttons in visual studio that are for debugging. They appear in the toolbar when you hit a breakpoint and are horizontal lines in a stack with arrows on the left side. The first one is step into and can also be used with F-11 , Step over is F-10 and Step Out is Shift F-11.
