Naw, with moguls I don't care who wins. I'm just fascinated to watch it. Skiing I can do, but I've never had the knees for moguls, even when I was their age. My first wife was a pretty accomplished skier and we used to ski with some of the US freestyle team ( her friends - actually when they were still just the "US crazy skiers" ) It would amaze me to watch them go down the mogul runs at Squaw and if you just saw the upper halves of their bodies it looked like they were on an escalator. I considered it an accomplishment if I could get halfway down the run alive and could walk the next day. <s> The few times on non-mogul runs I tried to even sort of keep up with them I invariably did the last 500 vertical without my skis.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
