Why? Why not somewhere else, like its own directory?

I have VFP installed in c:\VFP9 and all my projects are in c:\VFP9\myprojects.

Why must I install anything in a specific place dictated by someone else? Why can I not create a sub directory called \data and installl the files there?

Is there some specific reason that prevents this that you know of?
