Thanks Kevin. Hey what are your thoughts on AMD processors?

They are fine, just as reliable as far as I've seen. However, my "understanding" (and here I'll definitely say I'm operating on 2nd hand information) is that Intel Core 2 Duo is going to be a tad faster than the AMD counterpart. Depending on what you're doing, you may never notice a difference.

I used to buy AMD, but my last 2 major machines (Gateway QuadCore and Asus Core 2 duo) have been Intel.
