I don't know fo sure if its related or not, but awhile back I was writing some stuff in VMP and could not get the cancel button to work. For the life of me I could not figure out where the keystroke was going. No code in form.keypress, nothing.

I think your problem is related to VMP, because I have never seen this sort of behavior elsewhere.
