Yes, while it surprises me quite a bit that there is no better solution than this, I will be testing for the number of entries that can result in a match in the autocomplete table from the alltrim value of the textbox. If there are no entries or there is only 1 entry in the corresponding AutoComplete table, I will assume there is no dropdown visible, otherwise (more than 1 match), it is likely to be visible.
