>I'll be sure to pass that on to my 72 year old mother (I can't pass it on to the others because they have all died from cancer already) who just survived the first round of cancer treatments but cannot undergo any more treatments because the treatments are too much for her system and both she and her doctors do not think she will survive them. I'll just tell her to "suck it up because the pain will remind her she is still alive." Really John, this view, while meant to be humorous, is just too extreme even for you. I understand your background and where this view is coming from but it is not black and white. It is not a case of the world going to pot because marijuana is legalized for medical purposes.

TC, I understand your perspective too. But, do you say there is nothing but pot that can help your grandmother? I seriously doubt it. It's an extremely slippery slope to say this is the reason we need to legalize pot. I just cannot come to the point where I say pot is a good thing, and the only thing that can be used for cancer patients or any other group. I see what is going on in the states that have legalized it. I even know a guy who is growing MM in Colorado. He is laughing all the way to the bank. He gets sponsors who pay him several hundred dollars per ounce, and the state says he can grow (n) plants for that person. I'm told he is going to open up a secluded warehouse and grow as many plants as he possibly can. Guess what, he doesn't give a damn about the law, because he knows it is virtually unenforceable. He will become the local dope man, and I doubt he will car about the user's age. This is the same scenario that will be played out all over the country. It is bad for the US. They need to do this in other countries, not here.
