Yes, I'm inclined to aggree, but I've looked through the grid & editbox but found nothing that looked like it might trigger this behaviour.
I have narrowed it down a bit - as I said, it only happens in a grid - and it also looks like the value of the attached memofield has to be NULL.

If you still have your testform, can you confirm this?
