>>My system will not hold my defaults. I can set all I need in my startup program, but I can't set the debugger environment. I keep setting it to "FoxPro Frame" and pressing "Set as Default", but the next time I start VFP5.0a, it's back at "Debug Frame".

I think that all VFP settings are saved in the registry.

>One more thing. Every time I come out of the options box, my path is chopped off to 255 characters. I assume that's a bug in VFP. Any one know of a way to have VFP recognize that I've just come out of the options box and reset the path? (My path already has all the '.'s and '..'s in it, so it can't be shortened).

It's not a bug, it's by design. A path is limited to 255 characters maximum.
