This may or may not be of use to you - I have done a great deal of work over the years reading body of text information coming in from delivery agents and updating main databases - I have divided the process into 2 stages
1 I use a piece of software called Smartserver (now I think shareware) to get the email and break it into individual text files
2.I then use VFP9 to read the directory containing the text files - process them - and as individual files it's easy to search for key words or patterns - and move them to another directory
