We don't have, nor do we want to have, a domain on our home network. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this, or does TFS require domains?

When I was reading the requirements for it (as I installed last weekend) I remember it clearly stating it could be used in a workgroup. I have a domain so I didn't look further into that.
