Paul,
I'm not trying to restart the
Great Debate of Two-Way Tools for the Nth time. But I prefer looking at only one or two methods at a time instead of weeding my way through monolithic code listings in a text editor or on paper. I think it makes development much more focused to the task at hand.
I've gotten to the point where I only rarely even print source code very often. And for that I've written a little app that processes the raw .scx/.vcx files. I don't use it that much now, and have saved quite a few trees and toner particles *g* since I started mainly doing VFP development.
>So why hasn't some programmer with more intelligence than me created some? I am wondering how difficult it would be, maybe using the Project Manager hooks I hear about in VFP 6 or something. I haven't used VB much but it seems like every other platform I've used besides VFP lets you get at your code this way. I know there are a lot of issues with two way tools, but for me, things would be so much easier if I had them.
