It actually does huge harm when "care about" turns into policy.
When/If CO2 goes from 380 parts per million to 500 parts per million, the atmospheric percentage changes only .01%. CO2 is not a pollutant.
Nitrogen 80%
Oxygen 20%
The rest - Argon, CO2, etc. are trace gases.
We spend nearly half the budget on health care for poor and retired, social security, and interest on the debt. We spend about a quarter on defense.

>Let's say I think it does not much harm to care about.
>And CO2 is pollution that you can't smell. But deadly as well. Just stop breathing for a moment. That what hurts is the high CO2 ratio in your blood. And what nobody is telling about that a higher CO2 means lower O2. It's burned and replaced.

>I don't like to be picky, but you pay 50% of a tax dollar to make the world a more dangerous place. Why not spend something to have more O2? ::)
