The Mere Mortals .NET Framework
Hi Johnny,
I am just a novice and don't really have a direct answer to your dilemma, but if you are accessing Microsoft SQL Server data, there is a database configuration option called "SET ANSI_PADDING ON/OFF" which might be causing your problem. I prefer to set this option ON, but you might check the setting of that option. Forgive me if this idea is way off base.

>It is a char(10) in this case and I have little control over their existing data schema. I think I orignally stated this in a prior thread thinking that this could be the reason the field was a full 10 characters including spaces, etc.
