Daryl,
Remember that the alias doesn't have to be the form name. If your controls are linked to Employee.Lastname and you want them to look at Customer,

USE Customer ALIAS employee will work.

If you're writing a 'black box' editing object, then pick an alias that is different from any of your forms.
