Right click on your My Computer icon on the desktop or on the start menu and select Properties from the pop-up menu. that will tell you the Operating System and version along with more details.

Look for The Internet Information Services applet in the Administrative Tools applet in Control Panel. This is the management tool for IIS. you'll need to either Create a new Website, or add a Virtual Directory under the Default website. Either way you'll need to specify the path to the Website files (customarily located under the C:\Inetpub\wwwRoot folder).

Once you have created a site or virtual directory, you can publish to the path you specified for the website files.
