>Jose, We have both a Window NT and Novell server. Could we put the application on a Novell server and access the native FoxPro tables directly. Would that be a problem serving the 500 users.

Garry,

Much depends of the size of the files and the number of concurrent users...

What you must understand is that when you use the native tables directly they get open in the application and suck the data from the server. If the tables are huge this may cause high traffic, although there have been threads here in the past evidencing that if you have, say, a 15Megs table, you don't have 15Megs travelling across the network when the table gets opened locally.

If you use a client/server approach, the use of remote parameterized views will bring to each station the subset of data they require, thus with supposedly much less traffic.

My experience is in the range of 10 concurrent users and I am only able to tell what I've seen... This is to say that I'd like to see people with this level of experience jump in.

José
