The word "depleted". About the worst euphemism there is. It makes it sound like it's a burnt-out waste from a reactor, akin to slag from a steel mill. Except it's not - it's just your regular U-238. The so-called "depletion" is the process where they take out the 1% of the other isotope (235 or some other, I'm bad with names) and the U-238 is just what's left untouched by the process.
