I agree with your assessment. Where we may disagree is how important it is to be a #1 seed.

Normally, I agree, the overall #1 seed might not be a big deal. But in this situation, KU doesn't have to go any further than Oklahoma City and St Louis (until the final 4). Big advantage to KU in that situation.

Mike, don't get me wrong, Kentucky is a great team. But KU has far more experience...Sherron Collins is a senior, and has played in the Elite 8, Title Game, and Sweet 16 so far....Cole Aldrich has played in the title game and Sweet 16. Far, far, more experience.

In many KU road wins, they are "outplayed" (or turn the ball over excessively) for 35 minutes....then for 5 minutes go on a scorching run. In the A&M game the other night, KU switched to 2-3 zone and went on a 21-2 run. I've seen KU do that all year long. When KU plays their best, no one in the country can beat them.
