>I have a friend who has a POS web application written in ASP that uses VFP COM DLLs. The VFP DLLs are loaded in IIS when it starts. Most of the time the application humms along well but often, when the traffic picks up the ASP pages begin to take longer and longer to be delivered to the client. He put a time stamp at the top of each page and one at the bottom after the VFP calls have been made and the difference between them is very small regardless of how long the page takes to display. Occasionally, IIS will just stop responding and requires a restart.

Other than ensuring that the connection is closed each time, need to know what version of IIS and what version of ASP to go any further. If classic, you can start here with some ideas:
