>>>Didn't Obama promise to hike taxes on businesses that out sourced jobs in order to have the jobs come back to the USA? What happened to that?

>>That was classified as too 'socialistic'. The powers want 'unregulated capitalism' and so do wan't many reps up here. So what are they complaining about ??

>In case you've forgottenm, it's the left (American political left) who have the power and they can't agree on anything. They are more devisive and splintered than ever. That party has had more opportunity to make changes than in recent history and failed to do so. They have broken many of their promises (like the work hours, the pay, the tax cuts for the middle class, the ethics, the posting of bills in advance of voting, the removal of tax breaks for corporations that move jobs overseas, etc. The powers do NOT want "unregulated capitalism" at all. They just cannot agree on what specific regulation and control they do want. There is too much internal bickering and that is the "progressive left." The right is even worse but they don't have any power to get anything done so it's moot. They will not take away individual freedom so close to an election year. It is suicide in the polls to do so. You yourself stated you have groups of 'voting cattle' in your country and yet you continue to make blanket statements about Americans. If you want to make idiotic statements like that then back them up with facts. Please support your statement:

Oh tracy... don't get me started on that.... Best to google on "Unregulated Capitalism". and example:
http://ironcountytoday.com/pages/full_story/push?article-Why+Not-Unregulated+capitalism-+-Reliving+America%E2%80%99s+past%20&id=5539968&instance=lead_story_left_column

And don't get me wrong.... its not a US exclusive problem.

People complain about the size of the government, taxes, socialism, immigration, security, but when the word regulation comes into people downplay it as effecting their personal freedom.

Dutch example: Many people in the Netherlands complain about taxes and bureaucracy. They also complain about the outrages bonusses for top managers. They insisted our minister of finance to do something about it. When he proposed to increase taxes for the top 5% of the rich, he was critisized that is symbol politics and that it would not get enough money. He answered, hey first you want me to do something about it, and when I do make a law to regulate it you complain about bureaucracy and not profitable enough. What the hell is it what you want?

Bottom line. People do not know the reach of what they are proposing. Often they are catced by simple slogans to draw attention to something that is bothering them, but they do not see the consequences if their demands are met. Hence my definition of "Voting cattle"
