My preference is to use CursorRefresh method of CA.
PS: I use batchupdate count of 1 when it is VFP backend and 100 when it is MS SQL. Anything over 1 doesn't work for VFP (and documentation is not true entirely. For example do not use NoDataOnLoad, it doesn't work).
