We are creating a text file that is built by processing a number of VFP records. Each record holds the text that it generates in a memo field and then the entire thing is assembled at the end.

I just realized that the memo files became huge and I assume that is because i am updating the memo field with new data every time the program runs it's process. I can pack the table and that fixes the problem but since it is a multiuser program I can't just do a pack every time someone runs the process.
