Do you see any changes that would be necessary with Win7?

If an exe needs to copy a new version into the program files folder, that exe would need to be running as Admin.

You might be better off with your main app terminating immediately after calling a separate updater.exe if an update is needed. Then you can modify the manifest for updater.exe to make it run as Admin.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
