I have a .dbf structure that is generated programmatically. It will open in VFP7, but VFP8/9 see it as corrupted. If I open it in 7 and append a blank, then it will open in 8/9.

If I open it in Excel and save as a dbf, then it willl open in 8/9

Is there a header structure difference that might cause this behavior?

Where might I find a byte-by-byte spec so that I could programmatically make a dbf that will also open in 8/9?
